Pelham, New York’s new “supergroup” Stolen Age is made up of singer/keyboardist Andrew Wood, bass guitarist Mark Garufi and percussionist Grant Zacharias. The trio presents a blend of original and cover songs that share a similar style in the mold of modern reinterpretations of 80s new wave classics.
Andrew Wood has been a longtime fixture on the New York City indie rock scene with his band Bridges & Powerlines, which released five records between 2006 and 2016 and experienced successful runs on the CMJ top 200 radio charts, played high-profile shows with The Antlers, Adam Duritz, Chris Carrabba and many more and made multiple appearances at SXSW. Mark Garufi has performed for large audiences with his regional band Fervor since the late 1990s, showcasing influences ranging from jazz to classical in his rock covers and new original compositions. Grant Zacharias, who played in several bands in Florida before moving to the area, brings an eclectic energy to the mix, counting John Bonham and Glenn Kotche alike among his drumming heroes.
Stolen Age, a brand-new collaboration, will make its public debut at Toonerville.
